What is Fatlek?
Fartlek is a Swedish term which mean’s “speedplay”, training involves varying distance, speed and terrain to help improve a runners speed.
We run regular Fartlek sessions on Monday evenings at 7pm, from April to September, we meet at the Magazine Fort Car Park in the Phoenix Park (map here, green pins).
We sometimes run sessions during the winter too, depending on availability of outdoor running tracks.
Fartlek is one of the best ways to improve your running, and its aimed at runners of any ability, if you want to attend one of these sessions you must be a registered member of the club.
