The OPW have requested that we cancel our Wednesday and Saturday runs for the duration of Joe Biden’s state visit as the park is under extra security. So we’ll be running from the War Memorial Gardens this week;
- Wednesday 22nd June
- Saturday 25th June
Meeting point is just inside the entrance off the South Circular Road, pass by the salvage yard.
There will be extra Garda security around the park from today until Sunday.
We’re moving back to the Cricket Club from tomorrow now that the evenings are brighter, check out the website (http://tiny.cc/dfrwed) for more info and directions.
It’s that time of the year again, since the clocks have moved forward the evenings are long enough to move back to the Cricket grounds on Chesterfield Avenue.
For anyone new if you’re coming in from Parkgate St. entrance go through the first roundabout, it’s the 2nd turn on the left, follow the road all the way to the end and there’s a large car park. (map here, yellow pins).
It’s that time of year again and we’ll be moving to the Garda HQ for our Wednesday night run as of 30th September, it’s important you bring some reflective gear when you’re running Wednesday’s during Autumn – Spring as its quite dark, some runners use head torches as well.
Richard has compiled a training program that starts today and runs up to the Pride Run on June 19th and it ties in with out regular runs and his training sessions.

Fartlek is moving to 6:30pm to try and get 2 more weeks while it’s bright out, same spot at the Magazine Car Park. We’re looking into kicking off the winter session in Donore Harriers, more details to follow.
